We got to WA the Friday before Thanksgiving. My parents were in Hawaii until Monday so the Light's got to spend some quality time with my sister Rachel and I got the old NTMS crew together for a girls night, I'm so sad that none of us thought to take any pictures : ( but it was a blast!
Monday rolled around and we woke up to snow... (my poor parents went from 89-29 degrees that day). All day and night it snowed, it was crazy I've never seen it snow that hard in WA. We ended up with like 7 inches on snow. Luckily Andrew, Devin & Katherine were able to avoid the Blizzard in WA and just barely miss the "supposedly" blizzard in UT and made it safe.
We decided to split up Thanksgiving cooking duties. Rachie had the the rolls ( a much bigger task then she expected, they were delish!) Devin and Katherine had the tradish Jello (didn't end up setting up until the day after thanksgiving, but so good!) Andrew made the pumpkin pies. Caleb and I did the appetizers and choc. cream pie ( my fav!) Dad did the mash potatoes and Mom did everything else (bless her heart, she's the best!) We went around the table and said three things we were thankful for and dug in!
Every time we come into town we have a tradish of the boys going golfing and then the fam goes bowling. Me and Rachie tied for the lowest score and Andrew of course was the star! We attempted to run across the street to H&M at the South center mall (keep in mind its black Friday) that was a BIG mistake!
Saturday we had a full day of Pre-Christmas (since Dev and Katherine and Caleb and I would be at the in laws) We went Saturday morning and cut down the Christmas tree which took all of 5 min. to find, of course it had nothing to do that the BYU game was on and we HAD to get back for it. We watched BYU sadly throw the game away (personally I think we tech. should have won if it weren't for some bad calls made by the refs!). Also, one of my BESTEST friends Mike came over to catch up on old times, loved seeing him! After the game we decorated the Christmas tree, wrapped our presents and had Christmas! So many cute and fun things... Thanks! Thankschristmas was a success! I'm so grateful we were able to spend it with my BEYOND awesome fam!
this is by far my FAVORITE picture taken this whole trip... "shirts are for suckers!"
